  2. Mediterranean and Atlantic. It grows up to 60
  3. cm/2 ft, and has nine or ten long spines at
  4. the front of the dorsal fin, and four at the
  5. front of the anal fin. It is olive brown or
  6. grey, with a conspicuous black spot ringed
  7. with yellow on each side. A stalking
  8. predator, it shoots out its mobile jaws to
  9. catch fish. It is considered to be an
  10. excellent food fish. It is also known as John
  11. Dory.
